Jay Case

March 27, 2020 (6pm - 8pm)

Music has the power to transport us to another time and place. Jay strives to harness that power with an audience of fellow music lovers and passionate musicians alike. Music creates a foundation for many aspects of our lives, and serves as the background to pivotal moments in our personal history. This is the case for Jay, who was born and raised in the cold climate of Sault Ste. Marie, in Northern Ontario, Canada. His music describes, sometimes vividly, the places and events that have shaped his lives and the lives of those around him. From a young age, Jay has found great joy and satisfaction in making music and sharing it with people all over the world. Join us Fri. Feb. 21st in the Taproom with Jay Case!

Sheldon is an accomplished songwriter and recording artist and has played in many touring acts, such as The Wild Turkeys, Dustin Jones and The Rising Tide, Frank Deresti and The Lake Effect, and The Boothill Crooners. Greg Callaghan

March 13, 2020 (6pm - 8pm)

Born in 1987, I started playing guitar when I was about 13 after years of playing piano. I sang onstage for the first time about 2 years after that, and I pretty much haven't stopped since. My set consists mostly covers, focusing mostly on oldies/ classic rock but also covering a lot of ground in other genres. I've played all over the Sault, but I host the Open Mic Night at Coch's Corner every Wednesday from 10pm-1am.

The Bearded Lounge

March 6, 2020 (6pm - 8pm)

This acoustic duo consisting of Greg Simpson (Rhythm guitar and vocals) and Alex Dettorre (Lead guitar and vocals) have been playing together in bands for over half a decade. They decided they wanted a more intimate show sharing stories and experiences with their audience. It didn’t take long with their vast repertoire to put together a great song list. The stories and come from many years of living on the road & playing music in many unique places!  They are no strangers to the music industry, love to reminisce, and will undoubtedly be a hit in the Taproom on Valentines Day @ Northern Superior Brewing Co.

Trevor Tchir

January 31, 2020 (6pm - 8pm)

Trevor Tchir [cheer] unites the sounds and images of Canada’s rural and urban spaces. Over the past eighteen years based in Edmonton, Ottawa, and now Sault Ste. Marie, he has played his original songs to audiences across the country. Tchir's music tells stories of the people who work and love in its pulsing cities and austere hinterlands. In reviewer Mary Christa O’Keefe’s words, "Tchir's lyrics are populated with characters who are both universal and intimate…In Tchir's hands place, time and relationships become characters, too, with their own agendas and idiosyncrasies...His allegiance is to the time-honoured art of evoking emotion through storytelling."
